You can make some crazy easy money early game on Fallout: New Vegas, with very very little effort, it’s as simple as clicking a button and being handed items to sell. So let’s get into it.
STEP 1
Ok so for step 1 we’re gonna start right at the beginning. Talk with the doc, set your character up, but when you select your skills, lean as heavy as you can into Speech and Charisma.

Now just leave, head over to the Prospector Saloon and speak with Sunny Smiles. She’ll take you out back to shoot bottles, when you’ve shot 3 she’ll ask you to do more tutorial with her, just say no and head back to the saloon so you can overhear Trudy talking with Joe Cobb, interrupt them, and tell Joe that you want to take over the town with him. He’ll run outside so people won’t overhear you, just follow him and say the same thing again. Don’t worry we’re almost done.

STEP 2
Ok, step 2 Joe Cobb wants you to prove yourself by killing Ringo, just agree and then head up to the gas station.

Tell Ringo whatever you want, just shoot him, loot him, and then head back down to tell Joe Cobb it’s all done.
Now he’ll ask you to extort some of the town residents for loot, you need to intentionally fail this quest so it can never fully be completed, so, shoot Joe and all of his friends, I just ran around the building whilst doing this, because it can be quite tricky at level 1.
But if I did it, so will you.

STEP 3
And finally step 3, now that you’ve killed the gang, head over to the General Store and speak to Chet. You’ll still have the option to extort. So select "Powder Gangers need your supplies", and then select either barter or speech, you’ll then be able to do it over and over again. Each time you do this you’ll get some leather armour, a stack of ammo, AND a stack of XP.

Keep going until you’re ready to sell your loot. Obviously traders only have a set amount of caps every 24 hours so your best bet would be to do a trade for better items and then keep the change, or just sell for the max amount, wait and sell again, whatever you prefer.
So yeah, I hope that helped. If it did, could you do me a massive favour and subscribe to my glitching YouTube channel here (Gaming Exploits). I cover
loads of glitches on there from Fallout, Skyrim, and Oblivion, to Elden Ring and Diablo 4. Thanks a lot!
